BIOGRAPHY
Amadi Lagha approached music by studying classical guitar and singing, later perfecting his skills in Paris, where he earned, among other things, a Master's degree in music and musicology. He has won numerous opera competitions, including the Michelangelo Cupisti Prize as the best performer of the 2017 season at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. In 2023, he received the Caruso Tribute Prize in New York "for the excellence of his voice, which stands out for its unique interpretative quality and unmistakable charisma, strength, and intonation."
Amadi has performed in various theaters in Europe and around the world, interpreting various roles including: Calaf in Puccini's *Turandot* at the Shanghai Opera, Les Arts in Valencia, at the NCPA in Beijing, at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago, at the Trieste Opera, at the Savonlinna Opera Festival, and at La Monnaie in Brussels; Don José in *Carmen* at the Arena di Verona, the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Marseille Opera, the Savonlinna Opera Festival, the Hannover Opera, and the Leipzig Opera; Radamès in *Aida* at the Carlo Felice in Genoa, the Tirana Opera, and the Corum in Montpellier; Manrico in *Il Trovatore* at the Petruzzelli in Bari; Mario Cavaradossi in *Tosca* at the Puccini Festival, the Corum in Montpellier, and the Düsseldorf Opera; Pinkerton in *Madama Butterfly* at the Maestranza Opera in Seville; Don Alvaro in *La Forza del Destino* at the Capitole in Toulouse; Gustavo III in *Un ballo in maschera* at the NCPA in Beijing; Rodolfo in *Luisa Miller* at the Verdi Festival in Parma; Carlo VII at the Pavarotti-Freni Opera in Modena and Reggio Emilia; Foresto in Verdi's *Attila* at the Tirana Opera; Canio in *I Pagliacci* at the Verdi Opera in Trieste; Turiddu at the Cagliari Opera, the Salerno Opera, and the Livorno Opera; and Dick Johnson in *La fanciulla del West* at the Turin Opera.
Amadi has been conducted by several internationally renowned conductors such as: Gianpaolo Bisanti, Massimo Zanetti, Renato Palumbo, Nekza Baresa, Liü Jia, Kazushi Ono, Francesco Ivan Ciampa, Robert Trevino, Jordi Benaçer, John Axelrod, Andrea Battistoni, Donato Renzetti, and many others.
