BIOGRAPHY
Aleksandra Łaska, was born in Warsaw, Poland. She studied at the Academy of Music in Lodz, Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and at the Conservatorio di Musica Benedetto Marcello in Venice.
In the 2024/25 season, Aleksandra will debut as Violetta in Verdi’s La Traviata and as Donna Anna in Mozart’s Don Giovanni at the Opera in Lublin. She will also return to the Polish National Opera to sing Frasquita in Bizet’s Carmen, following her 2023 debut as the First Niece in Britten’s Peter Grimes. Additionally, Aleksandra will make her debut at the Polish Royal Opera, performing the role of Zofia in Moniuszko’s Halka.
In recent seasons, she made her debut at the Wroclaw Opera as Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte and performed the solo part in the world premiere of Madonna by Bassem Akiki. She also sang the soprano part in the world premiere of Stefan Wesołowski’s Messiah by Schulz at the Eufonie Festival.
The album Chopin University Modern Ensemble – Debut, featuring Aleksandra performing the solo part in Luciano Berio’s song cycle Folk Songs, was nominated for the Fryderyk Award in 2021.
Aleksandra is the winner of the 4th Antonina Campi International Vocal Competition 2024.
