BIOGRAPHY
Belgian soprano Louise Foor pursued her vocal studies at the IMEP School of Music in Belgium before continuing her education at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin.
In the 2024/25 season, Louise Foor will perform the role of Lisette in Puccini’s La Rondine at the Opéra de Metz, take on the roles of Frasquita (cover Micaëla) in Carmen at La Monnaie in Brussels, make a return to the Bayerische Staatsoper, and sing Frank Martin’s Requiem in Geneva as part of Thierry Fischer’s project Odyssée Frank Martin.
For the 2023-2024 season, Louise Foor was a member of the Opera Studio at the Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich.
Her recent projects include her debut as Leïla in Bizet’s Les pêcheurs de perles in Bordeaux and her first appearance at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège. She also became a resident artist at the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in Waterloo. In 2022, Louise made her debut at several renowned venues, including the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Grand Théâtre in Luxembourg, and the Grand Théâtre in Geneva.
In September 2020, she won first prize at the international competition “Virgilijus Noreika” in Vilnius, Lithuania.
