BIOGRAPHY

Gezim Myshketa graduated from the Arrigo Boito Conservatoire in Parma under the guidance of Giuliano Ciannella and Lelio Capilupi. After winning the As.Li.Co competition in 2006, he made his debut in the title role of Don Giovanni on tour in Italy and at the Opéra de Massy. Early in his career, he appeared in leading roles such as Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), Simon Boccanegra, Giulio Cesare, Carmen, Turandot, Maria Stuarda and I Puritani at venues including the Salzburg Festival, Opernhaus Zürich, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro Verdi di Trieste and Teatro Massimo Bellini.

Following his acclaimed debut as Ford in Falstaff at the Staatsoper Stuttgart in 2013, he established a close relationship with the company, where he appeared in numerous productions. His recent highlights include Macbeth at the Grange Festival and Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Carmen and Turandot at the Arena di Verona, Les Vêpres siciliennes at Teatro Massimo di Palermo, Lucia di Lammermoor in Leipzig and Marseille, Simon Boccanegra in Antwerp and Naples, Guillaume Tell in Italy and Tokyo, Falstaff in Lille and Luxembourg, La Traviata in Hamburg, Tokyo, Nancy and Madrid, Nabucco in Toulouse, and Robin Hood at the Royal Opera House Muscat. He has collaborated with conductors such as Maurizio Benini, Bruno Campanella, Frédéric Chaslin, Michele Mariotti and Daniel Oren, and with directors including Robert Carsen, Damiano Michieletto, Graham Vick and Calixto Bieito.

Highlights of the 2025–26 season include Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Le Villi in Verona, Cavalleria Rusticana in Genoa, La Traviata in Montpellier, Tosca at the Royal Opera House Muscat, Turandot at the Arena di Verona, Amelia al Ballo at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, and Madama Butterfly and La Traviata at the Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse.
