BIOGRAPHY
Veronica Marini, born in Frosinone / Italy, graduated at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rom. She studied interpretation and technique at the Accademia Verdiana of Teatro Regio in Parma and she took part to several Masterclasses with Marilyn Horne, Alberto Zedda, Raul Gimenez and Sumi Jo. During her studies she was winner of many international singing competitions as “La competizione dell’opera” in Linz, Alda Rossi da Rios in Genova and Concorso del Teatro Lirico Belli in Spoleto.
She gave her debut on stage as Norina/DON PASQUALE in a production of “La Scuola dell’Opera” at Teatro dell’Opera in Rom. Immediately after she debuted at Teatro Regio di Parma with a Gala-concert “Grand Prix dell’Opera” and as Gilda/RIGOLETTO at Teatro Verdi in Busseto in collaboration with Teatro Regio di Parma and interpreted the soprano part in Verdi´s I QUATTRO PEZZI SACRI under the baton of Daniele Callegari. At the Festival Verdi in Parma she was cover for the role of Nannetta/FALSTAFF and she debuted Donna Anna/DON GIOVANNI at Teatro dell’Opera in Rom in a production of YAP – Opera Camion.
In 2019 she won the first price at the 70th Concorso AsLiCo of Teatro Sociale in Como for the interpretation of Amina/LA SONNAMBULA and she was hired there for Adina/L’ELISIR D’AMORE in an “Opera Domani” production at Teatro Sociale. Recently she won the second price at the Concorso Lirico Internazionale in Portofino (CLIP).
Future projects include the debut on stage as Amina/LA SONNAMBULA at Teatro Sociale in Como, Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona, Teatro Fraschini in Pavia, Teatro Sociale in Bergamo and the house-debut at Teatro La Fenice Venezia as Adina/L’ELISIR D’AMORE.
